To build on our success, it is a pleasure to announce to you the date of the upcoming ICLA event “One Belt One Road” in 2017 in Beijing, China. The conference will be held on 21 – 22 October 2017. The initiative, “One Belt and One Road” is China’s great plan to build up a network of infrastructure including railways, roads, utility grids and pipelines following the ancient “Silk Road” and “Maritime Silk Road” – a challenge not only in Asia, but far beyond Renowned experts, lawyers, professors and judges specialized in International Construction law will introduce to us the thinking and relevant topics in international construction law affecting One Belt One Road project.

Leading, international experts share their expertise

Speakers presenting at the ICLA's Bi-annual Conference are renowned construction law experts from around the globe. Each expert has pushed forward extraordinary work, created something out of a courageous idea or supported a cause that’s central to them. Amassing decades of experience between them, our speakers this year include: a Supreme Court Judge, leading academics and directors and managing partners at major law firms.

Leading international construction lawyer whose firm won the Germany JUVE Awards 2016, Law Firm of the Year for Construction. Dr Breyer has extensive practical experience in all construction law matters globally. In academia, he created the Masters degree, International Construction: Practice & Law for the University of Stuttgart and is lecturer for King’s College London and Peking Law School.

One of the most eminent construction lawyers from the United States with over 45 years’ experience in international construction law. Mr. Tieder is managing partner of Watt Tieder Hoffar & Fitzgerald recognised by Cambers USA as a leading Construction law firm in the United States.
John B. (Jack) Tieder

A former judge of the German Supreme Court and the most prominent legal authority on construction law in Germany. Prof. Leupertz is particularly active in academia editing numerous Construction law books and journal and lecturer for University of Stuttgart and University of Maburg in Construction law.

Practices as both an English Solicitor and French Avocat and has more than 25 years of experience in the projects and construction sector, particularly with respect to dispute resolution (particularly ICC arbitrations under contracts incorporating FIDIC standard conditions). David is currently a partner at Clyde & Co, Paris office.
David Brown

Is founding partner of expert Brazilian construction law firm Aroeira Salles Advogados, Sao Paulo. During his career, Alexandre has advised on some of the most important infrastructure and construction projects in Brazil, for instance, stadium projects for the 2014 World Cup and 2016 Olympic Games. Alexandre is founding member of the Brazil Infrastructure Institute

Mr Ionescu is a Partner of PMG Consulting Engineers and Economists in Lausanne, Switzerland. Over 25 years of European experience as consulting/professional engineer, as contractor in large scale international construction projects and as real estate specialist make him a very valuable contributor.

Mr Oleynikov is the Director for Legal and Contract Management of ZapSibNeftekhim LLC (SIBUR). He has extensive experience in major projects and construction and currently leading the ZapSib-2 project (Russia) on all legal and contract management matters. Prior to SIBUR, Mr Oleynikov was working as In-house counsel for a number of major Russian companies.
Andrey Oleynikov

Kim is a major projects lawyer advising stakeholders on all construction stages of the project cycle, in particular contract administration, dispute avoidance, dispute resolution and compliance issues, with a particular focus on the Middle East and Africa. She has supplemented this experience by completing a Masters in Construction Law at the University of Melbourne in Australia.

Ms Anna Kremleva currently works as Discipline Head of the Contracts Department for Western Siberian Petrochemical Complex LLC (subsidiary of SIBUR). Ms Kremleva has considerable contracts management experience working on the “Western Siberian Complex for Crude Hydrocarbons Advanced Processing” Project and oil and gas development “Sakhalin-2” Project in Russia. Ms Kremleva is also a graduate from the prestigious Business School Group ESC Dijon (France).
